There are 72 original clue-and-answer entries. Each round randomly selects up to ten, so puzzles may repeat. A correct answer scores up to ten points. Wrong guesses and a hint reduce the score; the minimum for a correct answer is two points.
How to Play Vowel Lantern
Read the definition and replace each underscore with a vowel. For example, PL_N_T stands for PLANET, so the missing vowel sequence is AE. Type just AE, not PLANET. In this game, Y counts as a consonant.
Helpful Solving Tips
Look for common vowel combinations and think about the word’s pronunciation. Start by reading the clue, then try placing vowels between the consonants. Compare your possible spelling with the category. There is no time limit, and you can reveal an answer when a clue is unfamiliar.
